My Name is David I was born in Canada and lived there during my chilhood. Later I went to live in Portugal and studied architecture at Lusiada University in Lisbon where I graduated. As an architect with more than a decade of experience I have developed several kinds of projects in all stages. I worked at architectural offices but also had the opportunity to developed my own projects as an independent worker.
I have since ever been attracted to architecture and the creative process that it involves, but it is the building process that really excites me. Let's face it the fun part is definitely the construction stage as it is almost like building a huge model.
There was a time in my career when I felt the need to deepen my knowledge construction-wise. I needed to feel the building process up close and personal. So in 2007 I joined a construction company to performed duties on site as project manager which was a very enlightening experience that as enriched my skills as an architect immensely. As project manager in this company I performed supervising tasks and detail planning in more than twenty construction projects and it was for me a fantastic opportunity to be involved in larger scale building projects.
I see myself as a proactive person that encourages team spirit and believes in positive attitudes towards every challenge that arises.
On a personal level I am an outdoor man that enjoys the wilderness and long walks with my dog, but also someone that needs to feel the thrill of the city life with dynamic cultural events. I believe to have a good sense of humour and cherish this quality in others.
If my work as interested you please feel free to contact me as I'm currently looking to work at a practice that shares the same enthusiasm in architecture as I do.
